In the last post of the "too many pics" thread, I did state that I wished Roger would stay.

tell Roger to come back and play nicely, RFF is supposed to be recreational, we all love it and it's bigger than any one of us.

Roger, BEHAVE and play nicely, stop apologising and put up your three best / favorite pics so that we can constructively critisise them, instead of critising you !

FRANCES, tell roger to stop being truculent, and smack his legs if he won't behave.

All you other oldtimers (longstanding members) , Like FrankS and the rest of the foundation members vote yes if you agree with me !

Pretty well stated John. I think everyone is always welcomed here by the whole membership, including Jorge and Joe, and that we the membership has to strive to not be "truculent" (that may be a bit strong of a word but...) as part of our participation in the community.

ok, so roger wants to leave, that is HIS option and HIS decision.
he was not asked to leave.
read the damn posts, he was NOT attacked by anyone.

in fact, i asked him to stay and play nice with the others.
roger wants to play rough and then decides to leave when others decide to do the same.

rff is still the friendly place it always is. if people feel differently about that now then i hope they stick around to see that.

yes, this a place for us to enjoy our hobby and for all those that found roger a welcome breath of fresh air there were those that found he was confrontational and added to the daily stress level.

there is no winning for anyone when people get upset and leave.

i understand there may be hard feelings for BOTH sides of this issue but pointing fingers and starting a bitter dispute is no way to carry on.

i am going to lock this thread, not because i am a fascist who hates free speech but because this a forum about rf photography.

choose to see me as part of the unenlightened if you want.
