Out of whack frame lines

Hi all. A while ago I posted a question about a possible problem with the framelines of my M4-P. I frame a photo through the viewfinder and get considerably more on the right of the frame and a lot cut off of the left in the resulting images on film. Focus etc is perfect and the frame lines move when I focus suggesting the parallax seems to be working. At first I put it down to user error but after shooting a lot with my M7 then going back to the M4-P I realise they frame very differently. Could it be that the M4-P needs a re-calibration? Can the parallax system even get out of whack like the rangefinder patch can?
Any experience or wisdom greatly appreciated.

After I sent my M2 in for a CLA, the framelines were not visible on the right side, and I sent it back for a correction. Apparently they can go out of adjustment; and since they can go out in the way that I experienced, I assume they can go out to cause the somewhat different problem you are having. When I had an M4-P, the framelines were perfect. So I think yours needs some attention. You should not be having this problem. It's clear that you know how to use the camera, since you have no trouble with the M7. You shouldn't be having a problem with the M4P, either. I suggest sending it to one of our recommended people.

Yeah, I assume it's a simple thing. I might get the flash sync issue I've been having with it fixed while I'm at it. Trouble is I live in New Zealand and most things need to be sent out of the country.
