We have a looong thread about "just waiting for the mail" here and that is indicative,I think, of how eager we all can get to get our new stuff. I've posted there once or twice
myself.
Last Thursday I ordered a new camera and then...
Had a "great" idea: the company has all its manuals online and I would download the pdf so I could learn the manual while I waited. This was in hopes that it would keep me from sweating the 5 or 6 days it will take to get my new toy.
Not really a great idea after all as now that I have (mostly) learned what I can with out actually having the camera in hand, I'm more impatient than usual.
:bang:
Oh well, I only have two more days to wait..........

Reckon we all do this a lot. Just yesterday, I got the grand idea to take the grandkids to Dunkin Donuts after I picked them up at school. Great photo op in mind, too! The strawberry Cupid cream-filled donuts were sure to be a big hit and they were, until they got to the cream.
Seems I went to the wrong donut shop...they prefer Krispy Kreme!!! Smart kids.
Think I will take the M3 along and catch them with the gooey cream all over their faces instead of the frowns yesterday....

Samsung HZ50W--a "bridge" camera (I think that's the term for these); wide to very long zoom, tolerably fast--f/2.8 at the wide end and f/5 at the tele end, shoots RAW as well as jpeg, hopefully decent IS--this camera is replacing an earlier Samsung and the IS in that camera was pretty good, and [most important to me] has a viewfinder.
In daylight my last P&S was exactly that because I couldn't see the screen well enough to do anything other than tell that the camera was turned on.
Was supposed to be delivered Tuesday which meant I'd be able to pick it up yesterday (UPS will not drive across the frozen lake for some reason so in the winter time they deliver to the local store) and play with it today. It was delivered yesterday and I will be picking it up later this morning, charging the battery and getting to use it this afternoon finally.
