Over-exposed about 5 stops....times?

Had not used my Praktica FX for a while and I shot a roll of HP5+ with it having mounted an older Pentax Super-Takumar 50/1.4 lens. Forgetting that the I needed to switch the lens from A to M I ended up shooting the whole roll wide open at 1.4 when I was thinking I was at f/8 or f/11, so we're talking a very over-exposed roll. It's nothing vital on there so no real big worries but I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions on times. I usually develop HP5+ in HC-110 at "dilution H" at about 10 minutes/20 C. What do you think? 20C for 2 minutes??? Or maybe dilute the H solution another one time with water and do 4 minutes or so? Thoughts??

Anything less than 5 minutes in a one or two reel tank gets dodgy, I find. I'm on the road and I don't have the tables infront of me but, as a general rule I'd try and figure the EI correction vs dilution for a time of around 7-10 minutes, being careful to observe the ml/roll minimums. I don't shoot HP5+ but I sure have dorked the stop-down/auto switch a few times in other contexts.

Good luck!!

Good idea, but then I also worry about being too diluted as I believe some developers need at least a certain amount to be active enough....

I'd just develop about 50% of the normal time. That's about a 2-stop pull. You can't really underdevelop more than that even with overexposed film without lowering midtone contrast to a state of total ugly flatness. The negs will be dense, but printable.
