Pan F - tests

I must admit that these are terrific examples of the charactersitics of this film as well as developing technique. I would offer a suggestion that I received last year from Tom A. I enjoy the look of these slower films, most notably Efke ISO 25 and ISO 50. These may also be badged as Adox. Tom told me about the "Beutler" formula developer and I cannot remember when I acheived such stunning results. Tonality and resoloution so sharp you could cut yourself on the images.

Beutler can be purchased at Photographer's Formualry and may be worth a go as an alternative developer.

Ok thanks Ray G and others. I looked at this post too quickly yesterday and was confused by the "Arista brand", thought it was a different film! I haven't used Pan F for many years, since I stopped doing Landscape work. Maybe have a play around with some again if I can find a good deal on some in the future. I'm experimenting with Fuji Acros at present.

That is Pan100, not PanF100.

I think the PAN-films are primarily sold in Eastern Europe, most pages found by google are slavic. Here is a recent RFF thread about it. At least the ISO100 film appears to have a lower red sensitivity than usual.

Yes, Pan100. Not PanF, which is different.

Nikon and Canon as well as leica have different finger prints but that does not make canon better over nikon, even after all my zeiss and leica glass there is something special in nikon lenses, something rough something edgy which I like 🙂
