I'm getting one of those in silver for my silver GH-2

finally nice metal built primes for the system

hope it's optically as good as the V1 but with faster AF

if this kind of build quality is the new way to go for panasonic, I'm looking forward to more sweet primes like this.

Whew!! Glad I didn't pickup the V1 version. Almost did this week. I wonder if they improved the AF or fixed the banding issues with olympus OM-D sensor? or is this just a facelift to charge more money for the same lens?

Yeah I know. But I might wait and pick a used one if the prices drop on the V1. As it stands it's pointless picking up a V1 used because the price is so close to a new one

Someone in the usual rumour site noticed that the lens' official website still mentioned the noise and vibration during AF and how it detracts from the lens' use for video.

So it's suspected the lens still use the same AF motor instead of like... that in the 14/2.5
Just hoping it will be internal focus.

The MKII looks way better and would look way better on an Oly body!

Just saying... might have gone with the P20 MKI over the O17/2.8 had the MKI 20 not been so blasted ugly!
