I have only had the G3 body for a couple of weeks. It feels very small in my hands compared with my G1 and GF1. It is quite different too. I am finding the touch screen to be easy to navigate, but I do sometimes miss the controls that the touch screen has replaced. All in all, it seems to be capable of taking some very nice images. Here are a few of my first with the G3.

How do you like your G3 compared to GF1?

I'm getting a GF1 in the mail tomorrow (originally intended to get G3 but set with the lenses 14, 20, 14-45mm was too good of price to pass up). I'm still debating whether I should sell the GF1 + EVF and get a G3.

How do you like your G3 compared to GF1?

I still like to use the GF1. The G3 is much smaller and IMHO has been designed to appeal to the point and shoot user. That being said, it is very capable of taking fine images. The battery capacity is much less than the GF1. The GF1 battery usually allows me two at least two days of heavy use. The G3 uses a smaller battery than the G1, GF1, etc family of cameras. My first outing with the G3 resulted in a low battery indicator after about 300 photos. If the higher res sensor and improved noise reduction are not a priority of yours keep the GF1. I think the GF1 is a better handling camera than the G3 ( first because of the smaller size of the G3 and second because of Panasonic moving most of the controls to the touch screen). I am keeping my G1 and GF1 bodies. I will post more after I have more experience with the G3.
