Pano slide experience

Anyone have hands on experience with

Gepe's MF 2603 mount w. a 22X54 opening --
or
Gepe's 2702 mount w. a 22x64 opening --
or
Mamiya's 24x65 mount w. 80X100 outside dimensions

Will the Mamiya fit into the carrier on the lantern slide projectors?
Any way to get single samples?

Other experiences?

I bought a box of the Gepes a few years ago, must've been the 22x64 size. They crop quite a bit of the frame, especially at the top & bottom (only 22mm high), which I found unacceptable, so I didn't use them! I just wanted to mount my slides for storage. Hopefully someone here can help you out with the Mamiya ones - maybe post one to you.

any idea on how color saturation on a scanned slide video projected compares to a film slide projected ?

it's incomparably worse.
Unless you invest really big bucks into a video projector. But,maybe even then.

Is a good video projector that much more expensive than a slide projector that can handle the Xpan's panoramic format? I thought that kind of slide projector was big bucks, too. Yes, the slide will be much more vibrant and sharp in a slide projector, but ease of use has to count for something, too. It's not like a print that's there forever. A slide is there and gone.

Thing is -- I have a Beseler Slide King Lantern Slide projector w. a 1000 watt bulb -- the mamiya slide mounts outside dimensions seemed they might fit and I was looking for someone with actual experience.

Not looking to buy a new projector with XPan capability.

Mamiya Cabin 67 might be good for xpan. You may use the 67 slide mounts by gepe(54x65mm opening, 85x85mm outside), which could hold two xpan film at one time. But you could find something to cover the other upper and lower part if you just want to mount one since the mount is glass anti newton one. Otherwise, you could still use the paper made mamiya mounts and cut it for appropriate dimension for the projector. But it does not have the glass though. Good luck.

I'm a glad owner of a Götschman (http://www.goetschmann.de/) - use a Leitz projektion lens (2.5/250) or a Biotar 2.8/80
a real pleasure (besides the noisy & lousy fan)

Yeugh!!! I hate these things!! They nearly always give me a migraine!!😡 Widescreen Centre in London sold card mounts that fit my Horizon 202 slides.
