I like the concept, but I'm not sure about the execution there (don't like the quick-release connection or the mounted clasp - needs a locking carabiner or something).
Surprisingly, I can't find many other attempts at fashioning a hand strap with paracord - which seems like a great materia for it. Strong, soft, smooth to the touch.

It looks to me like a complex solution in need of a problem. If you want a wrist strap and want to make it out of shroud line, why not just use a 24" length and a knot, then loop it around your wrist?
FWIW, when I need a wrist strap, I just use a cast off OEM nylon camera strap shortened a bit and made into a loop. That had the advantage that if I ever would decide I wanted a regular shoulder or neck strap, I only need lengthen it.

If you want a really fancy camera wrist strap, visit the pets section of your favourite department store, like Canadian Tire, and choose a nylon collar for a small dog.

You likely know this, but there are a mess of good YouTube videos on creating different types of paracord straps and knife scales. It's a big thing in the Knife collecting community..but beware. You may get hooked on the expensive knife collecting GAS!!!
...plus, there are some pretty decent books on how to fashion these types of knots.
It's ironic...that folks who are dedicated to cameras constructed before most of us were even born, would be telling you to NOT hand tie your own camera strap, but to go and buy a mass produced, nylon dog collar.

I think that there is a Macgyver element to this beyond being fashionable, after a fashion anyway; buy using a long length of paracord to braid such a strap, you have a long length of paracord available to you for other purposes if needed. I often have a few feet of duct tape (gaffer tape) wound onto the shaft of my monopod for such practical reasons. I also keep some duct tape wrapped around the carpenters pencils in my tool belt, which is most often used for bandages during my moments of clumsiness.

Just learn to do a square knot and make one yourself. Used to make belts and bino straps that way in the Navy. Like Chris mention it is a go way of always having a good length of line with should you need it.
