Overall IQ is very nice for this scanner, but the film transport sucks.
Edit: I previously said ...........
I can not get reliable framing when doing film strips.
>>>
After more test scans I have found that this is largely due to me trying to scan the emulsion side
when the film is not flat.
I have been scanning 2 type of film. Some that is just processed, microfilm, and a couple of others.
Most film curls from side to side but microfilm if flat from side to side but rolls up.
The other is film I have had for a while of each type but it is fairly flat.
If you load it where the corners or end is up, like when the film is curled significantly from side to side, IE scanning the emulsion side it will hang.
You can still frame it manually though.
If its not curled too bad it will batch fine.
If it is rolled up like microfilm then the emulsion side is on the inside.
This will also hang in the scanner and cause irregular framing since the end in the scanner will be up.
If you turn it emulsion side down it will scan fine even if tightly rolled.
