Hi all.

I've been working myself up to this for a while; a major rationalisation! I have far too much stuff and want to simplify. I'm also using OT gear more, so I've thought hard about what I get the most out of in my rangefinder kit. Just so you know, I'm keeping my M3 and 50/1.4 Nikkor, a Bessa L and 15/4.5, and a battered CL. I'm going to re-aquire the CV 25/4, and maybe a 35/2.5 P1 if I stumble across one. Also keeping a Canonet, a Voigtlander VF101, and an XA. And the RF645! I think this covers the fun and freaky end *and* the ultimate quality end, so all the stuff listed below is looking for good homes... This is hard in a way, but it will allow me to do a lot more with what I'm keeping, and I will be able to say I've faced the dark side and (partially) turned back. 🙂

I apologise if this is deemed inappropriate in the forum, but I'm really just wanting to make sure I go through with this, get things started, and offer people who read the forums some bargains; I will post classifieds for things that don't immediately sell as I have time to photograph them...

The list:

[Details removed - they are now in the classifieds, in two parts... Do have a look!]

Interesting. Just for the sake of discussion, what does the Canonet do that the XA does not do? Why keep the Canonet?

Well... It's a 40/1.7 - a bit faster in a pinch. Although tricky to take advantage of that in poor light when I can't guess exposure and you can only set ASA400 I suppose. I also have some others I didn't list - an Oly RC, a Konica C35, a Voig. VF135... Some Kievs and Zorkis...

Probably the main reason is that they satisfy the collector within as well as the need for something in the pocket. The M3 answers the call of the dark side, and the RF645 produces the best negatives. I had to think this through pretty carefully, you see 🙂
