The info about lack of parts for the winding mechanism is directly from the MAC tech dept in NY. I sent my camera in a couple of days ago and they called me yesterday. They have no more wms at MAC.

:( Sorry to learn about this. Q: did your winder break with normal use or was there some trauma to cause the failure?
 
i have been trying to access the mamiya site but it must be down or something.
there was a thread from a guy that recently sent his 6 in for repair to the winder mech and while they only had 2 full winders left they had enuf parts to fix his camera. you must have been the unlucky one after his camera.
i hate to think that my cameras may die and not be fixable. maybe i should keep my second body for a parts camera down the road.
hhmmmm...
