I got my M8 today but there was no passport warranty card in the box, only a 2-year limited warranty registration form. I remember the M7 came with a passport warranty card.
Any idea how to get the passport warranty or does it come with one?

I talked to a Leica sales representative today at a Leica M8 demo and he said it should come with passport warranty.

I'm not sure what that "speaks volumes" about - except that the camera is not intended for klutzes.
My reps said one obvious reason is that some folks are sure to ignore the warnings in the manual about not collapsing collapsible lenses into the shutter and sensor.

And in Europe? Cos my M8 bought in Germany sure didn't come with a passport warranty... just the 2yr one.
