Paula Bronstein - PJ par excellence

She is certainly one of the top photojournalists in the world today, covering many conflicts and human-interest stories.

I met her years ago (1980?) when I was a picture editor at The Providence Journal in Rhode Island, if I remember correctly, she was the newspaper's photo intern then. She was a driven photographer then, and has gone nowhere but up since. Beautiful and powerful work.

I'm finding the World today more a Place filled with Sorrows than Goodness... it's a sorry state of mind for me as of late

Helen, you might need to be more selective about your media exposure time and also what you look at.. it's easy to become disheartened when the stories that are published/broadcast are mostly sad or tragic. We simply aren't told many of the heartwarming, happy stories because they don't generate page views!
