Huzzah for Paxettes! I need to devise a way to repair my Super Paxette, which truly is a delight. But, in the meantime, I have a Paxette sat beside me right now, which doesn't have a film in it, but I just love handling it, focussing, firing the shutter and winding it.

I think it's the most beautiful camera made. It's odd that Braun also made the Paxette 28BC, which is one of the ugliest.

Congratulations.
My first real camera in 1954 was a Paxette, used it for years, tarted up with big lenshood and Voigtlander Kontur finder. Replaced it with Nikon S2.

My first camera was a Paxette. I thought it was pretty cool at the time, but moved on to a Leica IIIb. Love to have another one though...TW

Agree on the looks, but can't agree on the ergonomics and results. With my sausage fingers it's a pain to use. And my Super Paxette features the non-spectacular Staeble Kata lens.

So personally I'm not really impressed with these cameras. 😉

A few weeks ago, there was a competition for the best cheap rangefinder bought from an auction site. I bought a Paxette with a Schneider Xenar for $20 to participate, but found that the shutter was stuck. After reading this article, I took the lens off and moved the shutter blades with my finger and snick...
the shutter fired and it's all good now. LOvely camera - can't wait to see the first results.

+1 had one, didn't even took one shot and sold it since it didn't feel good in my hands. Further a bit too much weight for such a small camera...
but if you like it go for it....

I'm with you Rod , these are some pretty little cameras and this being my first experience with it , all seems good.
