PC Monitor - help needed!

Hi,
Well, I finally decided to get a new LCD monitor for my PC. I'd like something around 22 inches. Not too terribly pricey, lets say about $300-350 USD. So, what do you recommend based on personal use thats best for photography, but also good for everything else and reliable as well?
I thought I saw a thread about this, but can't find it. So, any help is very much appreciated, as I'm kinda confused. 😉

Well, for 22 inches in the $300 range, you're only going to be able to get a TN panel.

In short, LCD monitors come in three types - TN, PVA and IPS, in order of increasing quality and cost.

TN panels are what you find in the average LCD monitor. However, if you're wanting to use the monitor for photo editing, you'll find that they do a terrible job at color reproduction, and are far worst than the cheapest CRT. If you're not using it for photo editing, a TN panel is fine.

When it comes to PVA LCD panels, the best bang for your $$$ is the Dell 2408WFP or the 2208WFP, both are PVA panel displays at 24" and 22" respectively. The 24" 2408WFP is about $500-ish or so, and the 22" one is a bit less.
