Pen D3, first B&W

After several years of using this D3, time came to test it with black and white. It takes time to finish a roll of 74 half frames.

Coffee bags, Agro Market.

Fishing boats, Buceo harbor.

Stalls and store, Agro Market.

The best bench in the city.

Film: TMX in Beutler, a most adequate mix for half frame IMHO.

Nice. If I were tempted by a smaller Pen, I suspect it would be a D. It's a different way of looking, having portrait as a default, just as I did on my Fuji GS645S.

Nice work, especially the low light shots. Did you use the built-in meter.

Thanks! I did not use the meter, forgot to put a battery and noticed too late. Guessed at exposures.

In the D3 you must open the back to install a battery.

Yes, Mr. Maitani had a distraction there. The D model was designed for selenium cell. I guess that when they switched to a CdS cell (D2 and D3) there simply was no place for the battery elsewhere.

I have severe D3 GAS now, after seeing this thread, and it's only slightly allayed by buying an original Pen.

I had such severe Olympus Pen D ( D,D2 or D3) GAS, that my first "D" arrrived on friday 02-07-14.
