urban_alchemist, I think you'll be able to use your Pen lenses on an Olympus Micro 4/3ds camera within a year.
BTW, you're aware that there are odorless dev chemicals? My wife has the same objection, so I use stuff that has no lingering smell. Even the C41 home dev kit smells mild at best, and the odor dissapates very quickly.

You should take a look at the Panasonic G1.

What? You mean the Micro-4/3 camera that looks, and weighs, exactly like a normal 4/3 camera?
Why would I want to do a thing like that?!?

some other great interests of the pen F series are : a very short flange distance (sadly just not short enough to use 39LTM lenses otherwise it would have been a killer) and a high speed flash synch...
one of the main interest of the 4/3 system is also that short flange distance and all the adapters you can find for it... micro 4/3 will be shorter... I guess someone in china is already machining a leica M to Micro 4/3 adapter of some kind. Personnaly I would love a Contax (old) to Mcro 4/3 adapter in order to use my sonnars 1,5...
(I have a arri to pen F adapter that allows me to use the cine schneider xenon 75/2 on my pen F... sweet ...)

Right on the money

Two adapters should do the trick, but kinda pricey until the Chinese M--> µ4/3 adapters are out.

Combined with one of the M--> µ4/3 adapters.

Cameraquest announced that he will be selling high quality Leica M and Canon FD adapters for the m4/3 system. No word about a Pen adapter sadly.
Through the genorsity of a RFF member, I will be receiving a Canon FTb with 50.. f/1.2 lens - my first venture into Canon FD territory. But one question remains: I wonder what kind of pictures a Canon 50 f/1.2 would take on a M4/3 system. . .
Well, maybe a few years down the road I will have the gumption to find out. If they ever release a Pen to m4/3 adapter, then I would consider investing in that system and buying adapters for a my lenses.

The best camera is one that still works!
Those Pen FT images are very good. I really like half frame and enjoy the process of shooting 'real time' diptychs and triptychs with my Konica Auto Reflex. It makes the process much more challenging knowing you have one chance to get it right ... assembling these types of images in post processing is not my thing . The Konica unfortunately is a very large heavy lump of a camera and as much as I love it there is another problem. Because it can be switched back and forth between half and full frame it has moving side shields to reduce the frame to half when you switch... these are further away from the film plane than the horizontal shields which creates an unevenness ... particularly with strongly lit subjects. There is a lot more light bleed around the side shields than is ideal. I gather the Pen doesn't have this problem!
I think I see a Pen F in my future ... in fact if anyone has one they would like to part with PM me!

And, it's possible now on the G1.

I actually published a few photos shot with a Pen F "back in the day." The problem was that the cameras were complex and not very reliable. Having 72 frames on board such a small camera was seductive, though. And the lenses were very sharp.

Of course I meant "by early next year."

Heh, well considering the Olympus should be announced at PMA.
What's interesting to note is the µ4/3 bayonet is nearly identical to the Pen F bayonet.

Films have gotten so much better since the 1960's also. If only Ilford would bring back their 72 exposure rolls of film ~ 144 half frame shots on a single roll!
