Anybody know where I can get a Pen W with a slow shutter serviced. I tried Zuiko.com, but he says he does not service "olympus rangefinders" any more, even though the pen W is not a rangefinder technically. Anyways, anybody know anyone , I've read that it is fairly easy to take these apart but I dont want to do it.

I can't help with a repair person for you, but I will say that the PEN viewfinder cameras really are ridiculously easy to take them apart. A few screws and the front lens element out and you're into the shutter. I did my EES-2 when I got it (stuck shutter plus sticky aperture or vice versa - I can't remember anymore) and it could not have been easier. There's a bunch of info out on the web to guide you through.

Ken ruth at photography on bald mountain fixes pretty much any manual camera .
There are probably cheaper options - anyone who repairs leaf shutters should be able to do it .
The camera is rather rare compared to the other pen models though .

The camera uses a 5 blade Copal leaf shutter. You have to remove the shutter from the body to service it. It is NOT like an EES! I don't think you will flood clean this little shutter. Someone with proper experience will have to do the job. The Pen W is worth the cost of a professional job. Wish I had one.
