People lining up to buy the last of Kodak's 125 b&w stock today at photo store

At the photo shop today: Last of the Kodak 125 B&W film flying off the shelves. Apparently there was a line outside the door this morning before they opened, people lining up to buy the last of the Kodak 125 stock.

I'm wondering if the trix 400 is next to go.

Are those trumpets I hear?
I'm going to go hide under the bed.
Or, should I look busy..... I'm confused.. too many feelings..Hide under bed definitely... 😱

I have some Ilford on the way ... Pan F+ and HP5+ and I'm damned well going to learn to love it.

Actually ... PanF+ pushed a stop is very similar to Plus-X IMO and HP5+ in Rodinal is just plain beautiful!

I'm not sure if there's been a run, but we've surely all seen this one coming for a while now. When I saw that B & H were out of stock in all remaining sizes last week, I thought something was up. The next day Kodak dropped the news of its discontinuance. I found my supply at Adorama. Their price was actually pretty good, all considered.

Kodak's website claims that Tri-X is the world's best selling black and white film, so I doubt Kodak will quit making it unless Kodak itself dies.

The formula for D-76 was published by Kodak long ago. You can make it yourself, unlike the film.
