The text on the ad suggests Leica did make it, but not for consumer sales.
Reguardless,of the claims. Or, are the FED's with Leica Logo's.

Are these Camera's a good user camera to own and use. I have kept a J8 to use on a older Leica/copy or Canon Rf.

Does anyone own one or two ?? and if you do, Would you consider this a camera for weekend use... 2-4 rolls a month??
Have you had any issues that are worth mentioning?

Thanks for any replys inadvance. I can buy it NOW, but I want some feedback from RFF members 1st.

I think of these Fed conversions as fun accessories (jewelry-like accessories). many of them were converted into Leica fakes because they were cosmetically beaten up in their original form. some othere are frequently asse, mebled out of cannibalized parts from broken cameras. The fresh paint covers up those problems.

Look for a good Fed or Zorki in its original form. It will probably cost you less and may work better.

That would pretty much have to be a FED or Zorki tricked-out to be a "Leica". (I'm not expert enough to pick the differences between old FSU cameras.) While the price doesn't seem unreasonable, I'd personally be more inclined to go with an honest FSU camera that doesn't pretend to be anything else. From somewhere like www.fedka.com, if you want one that's been cleaned up / restored / repainted.

While I don't have an early model like this one, I do have a Zorki 4 and Zorki 6 which I regard as good user cameras and have had good results from.
