I am out of Ilford Multigrade paper developer, so while ordering some chems from FF (I like buying direct) I added a bottle of their Perfecta-D Print Developer. Made by Fine Art Photo supply. Suggested dilution is 1:9. Labels says it will obtain the maximum black of the paper and a full brilliant tonal scale.

Any opinions?

It's a developer that I've never used, but I've always been happy w/ products from FF. This sounds like an interesting developer that can be dialed in by varying the concentrations. The one review I found on it was very good. They said the blacks were nice and dark w/ Ilford paper.

All I've ever used for paper was Dektol at 1:2 and 2 min for fiber papers. My personal experience has been that your negative and choice of paper will give the biggest changes w/ the prints.

My favorite paper has been Adox FB MCC 110 because it makes exceptionally good blacks and bright whites (due to it's beautifully white base). Not a cheap paper, but you don't have to waste as much of it using multiple test strips and making test prints either. Let us know how this developer works out, I'm interested in what it does.
