Speaking of chaos, I took the Nike FE-2 & Kiron 28-105, and, the Canon GIII QL-17 rangefinder out for a spin today. Got some nice stuff at the "Italian" street fair in Portland. Then decided to ambulate throughout downtown Portland. As I was composing a B/W snap with the rangefinder, a young lady jumped into the scene, flashed her tit's, (no dearth of ample brisket there) and waited for me to take the shot. Not wanting to disappoint her, I took the shot, she said "goodbye" and went on her way. For a second there, I thought the Kiron Kitten (Sharona) was going to join in on the fun. Should I scan and forward the snap, after souping the film? (Neopan 400, @ 320, my favorite street film) It's a real bummer when serious "arteest's" such as us, can't be left alone to create our art without such distractions....

(picture atached) I apologize for the crappy scanning. Print is sharp. As uaual, I was just trying to capture the "humanity of the moment" How did I do?

Yeah, the nerve of some people, getting in the way of that perfectly good pile (what is that stuff?) of things and flashing like that. 🙂 Great capture of a fine moment.

It's a load of bicycle's, that have been chained to the stop sign, as an attempt at "artmaking" I've always wanted to shoot it in color, and title it "Sudden Stops" However, on this day, I just had the little rangefinder and B/W film, so I figured I'd shoot it anyways. Then the young and "inconsiderate" lady decided that she wanted to be part of the "artmaking" process. Yes, I agree, the nerve of some people. It'll take me month's of thereapy to overcome the trauma of the event.....

Way to go, Russ! My picture of a woman flashing will be posted soon. I encourage all photographers who have experienced this phenomenon to post their photos!

Wow, Biber! Thank you for not getting any closer or holding the camera more steadily. The photograph conveys just enough information to convey the idea of what's going on, without being too graphic about it. Talk about street (walker) photography!

I do feel for those children who were present. Childhood innocence is too short.

I find it extremely funny that she did it right under the stop sign.
You lucky bastard! 😀 Thanks for posting.

By the way, do we have here any female RFF members?

Pherdinand

I think that she is a RFF member....

Nothing wrong with your scan Russ. Seems to me that the flashing lady under the stop sign just needs more development.

"This shot might be a bit on the extreme side, if any mod feels like deleting it just do so."

unfortunately, i don't have the power to edit in this section but i've asked jorge to take a peek at the pic and decide what he would like to do.
for me, it's a bit much for this site. i think we have some kids of members who might be close to the monitor when dad is online.

Joe, I fully understand your concern as I have a 6-year old myself.

But I must say I had to look twice before I realised what the scene was. The pic is so small I still can't tell whether she'resting on the man's lap or doing some other deed. IMO it's the story Biber added that put the pic in a certain context; I wouldn't have considered a sexual act in progress without the story.

my concern is in the possibility of future posts, from any member here.
i'm not trying to single anyone out or make a moral judgement of any kind.

i agree the pic is too small to 'see' anything really offensive.

I have a simple rule for most dodgy situations: if you're afraid of your mother's response to what you want to do, don't do it. I guess for most of us our mothers would at the least be unpleasantly surprised if we'd post sexually explicit shots. I know my mother would be. 🙂

And once you're married you can just substitute 'mother' for 'wife' 🙂

I did make it smaller to make it less offensive, I don't want to get banned or anything. 🙂

Btw, my parents (including my mother) laughed at the photo. 🙂

don't worry biber, we know you were not trying to be offensive.

as i said earlier, my concern is for the future. i've seen things get out of hand and very quickly on other sites (not photo related) and don't want that for here.

biber, I hear what you are saying, and appreciate your initial indication that if the moderator feels fit, he should delete the photo. I am going to vote that the shot is a little over the top. Lets keep talking about street photography though, and seeing some shots.

Has anyone seen this months Shutterbug Mag? There is a quick story about taking photos on Halloween night. The auther is currently using a Leica M7 with a 35 'lux.

Yikes! Now I feel guilty about starting this topic. Sorry.
