hey, digital is lame if you shoot a dslr but cool if you shoot an m9
don't even think about bringing up these sacrilegious things here.
oh wait! famous, legendary photographer XYZ uses a dslr? well, they are plenty cool then, but only if yadda yadda yadda...
as everyone else, stating the obvious, go ahead.

This is a fine forum and I am sure you will get some good advice from the members. Ask away about DSLR's, not that I could contribute much.

I just read the entire thread and no one asked a question, someone please ask a question so I don't feel like I wasted my time.

This eagerness of folks on RFF shows how helpful everyone is, you should not be afraid.
Maybe it also shows how hungry we are for more posts! Is it safe to say we are "under the influence"?

Is it permissible to ask a question about DSLRs on this forum?
I think he has asked his question, gotten his answer, and is reticent to go further.

Ok I'll ask a question! Does everyone here down rate their colour print asa? I've been taking pics for years and something as simple as under exposure has p@@sed me off on more than a few occasions. I usually use 100, 200 and 800 and I was going to over expose from now on by 1/2 to 2/3 of a stop to gaurd against it. I've found it more apparent with the 800z I use but maybe that's got little or no latitude for under exposure. I think also that I tend to go for the higher shutter speed when given an in between reading to gaurd against shake, therefore under exposing? Any thoughts? I've always just plopped the film in and fired away.

Most attitudes so far observed, from left-handed insults [example: real camera] to demeaning remarks and of course silly pedantry, are tantamount to school room bullying.
Shame.

Shame.
The fact that this subforum is called EVIL SLR doesn´t help.

'Rangefinder Forum' isn't exactly inclusive either.
Perhaps it should be changed to 'Everything Forum'.

That is a question in itself. Don't think he's coming back to ask another...
I'll ask one. Is he coming back any time soon?

Didn't look at it that way, but then this is no school room. "Shame" is a bit strong.
Pedantrty is always good, even when it's silly.
Not a school room, more like a coffe shop or tavern peopled by adults.
However, if Pfreddee ever comes back I shall apologize.
