Here are three shots I made of my grandniece while she talking about acting in her high school drama class:

Anybody want this camera? It is free CONUS, split shipping anywhere else. It needs skin on the back and one end, probably seals even though it does not leak. As you can see, it works just fine, but needs a CLA because the wind-on crank sometimes does not reset, and if you move the crank to check if it is cocked, it will wind on the fillm a bit, as seen in this shot at the bottom of the frame. I lost a couple of whole frames before I figured out what was happening. In my opinion it is well worth gthe expense to CLA this cam. I just have too many cameras, and the Petri rangefinder patch is not friendly to my right eye without reading glasses. It seems bright enough and contrasty enough anyhow:

It looks solid camera, much like Ricoh 500 (not 500G) - old school mechanical RF without any sloppiness. If novice would have started with it with subsequent CLA [s-]he might hit serious track and don't spend time acquiring tons of FL RF's from 70's.

Petri 7s II 2.8 was my first rangefinder, I found it in mint condition for 10 euro three or four years ago at a second hand shop. Great lens, and the selenium exposimeter is spot on.

my brother gave me his 7S 2.8 when he found out I collect old cameras. It included the telephoto and the wide angle attachment, and the viewfinder. I have used it and love the ergonomics and build quality, but the rangefinder seems to have slipped and is cocked at an angle; I believe it needs a good CLA.
Where do you recommend having it done?
By the way, I love your "in His Image" blog.

Thanks,
Rich

Thank you so much for the compliment, rich.
I have no idea where to do a CLA. I fixed the wind-on in mine myself (it was just a little lint blocking full engagement of a cam).
Perhaps a general call in the repair forum would yield results. I'm sure mine could use a CLA, too.
