I have a Petri 7s that has considerable haze inside! Looks to me like it near the rear lens. I can't figure out what kind of tool I need to unscrew the lens from the rear! I'm sure it must be a spanner of some time but where would I get such a tool? Also do I want to attempt it? The task might be to complicated for me! Anyone have ideas about doing such a thing?

Cheers,
Tom

Too bad, have you used the camera? I have one and I just looked at it, and it appears to be very hard to get to that haze unless it is on the exposed surface. I would run a roll though it to see how problem manifests itself.

John,
I made an attempt to clean it to no avail! I shined a light through it and believe it is internal! Perhaps I should take it to a repair shop and see if they can do the job!

John,
No, I have not run any film through it but if I did I venture to say that the haze would affect the pictures! Just how much they would be affected I cannot be sure! I may give it a shot and see what I get!

Thanks,
Tom

In fact here is one BEFORE the cleaning.

Golly John, that looks sharp to me! Cleaning improved on this? I just may run a roll through the camera and see what I get before I do anything!

Well, if you shot into the sun it was a different story. But to answer your question; it did not improve sharpness. If you look closely at the windows in my photo you can see what haze looks like.
