Fatal error: Allowed memory size of 33554432 bytes exhausted (tried to allocate 717735 bytes) in /home/rff/public_html/forums/includes/functions.php on line 5011
just asking ... what's up? Did not know where to post..

Why the upset, ruby.monkey? Were you just warming up with your 234 posts so far?

By the way, I have enjoyed hours looking at that thread - my favorite of all time, I think.

It's puzzling, I don't think I've ever seen anything quite like this before

Look Dave, I can see you're really upset about this. I honestly think you ought to sit down calmly, take a stress pill and think things over.

I get the same message (on my iMac) whenever I try to open the large threads like "Let's See Your Leica M". I've been getting that message for several years now. I've asked about it a few times over the years, but no one seems to know what it means.

This is likely an error caused by not allowing enough memory to be used to run php scripts on the server for some of the more image intensive threads, the site admin may be able to fix this by allocating more memory for scripts in the forum's php.ini file, as outlined here:

http://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/Manua...austed_.28tried_to_allocate_nnnnnnnn_bytes.29

One the client end, it might be helpful to know if this memory (leak?) issue is only happening for linux/unix/Mac users, or if any Windows users are also affected, and also which browsers are being used by those who see this error. I haven't seen this error on this site using Window with either MSIE, Firefox, or Google Chrome browsers.
