Hello again guys
I am working on a photo book for a very dear friend, and I was looking for a decent book printing service.
The photo-books I am thinking to create are one 30x30cm with about 40 pages, and one 18x18cm with about 350 pages, both in color.
I have used Blurb in the past, but I'm really dissapointed by the quality, mostly of the paper. It feels more... Booky or Magaziney than Photo-Booky...
Do you know any other europe based services that deliver quality prints?
Thanks in advance.

I was quite pleased with Blurb's better paper with the lustre finish. People who have handled the books have been surprised at the quality.
But it's a very personal matter.

The one I have previously created was also very well-received, even admired, but by photography standards it was quite mediocre at best.
My biggest problem were the dull/flat colors and how dark the photos appeared.
People can be easily impressed... But I really don t want to just create something substandard for this occasion... And I really hate to have all the photos specially edited with increased luminosity and saturation only to experiment with how the book might look...
I think I will try the glossy finish in a test book. Glossy tends to make colors and blacks look nicer, so this might just do the trick...
