Good points here. The only other consideration (and I don't recall if the original poster mentioned this) is metadata management. Affinity offers minimal support in this regard.

Personally, I use a combination of tools:

PhotoMechanic: Ingest, tag and organize both digital and analog (scanned) captures;

Either Capture One (for DNGs that need quick turnaround0 and/or Affinity for all other tasks. In particular, I prefer Affinity's tools for retouching and preparing images for publication (soft-proofing, etc.) and printing.
