I need help with LR5. I created smart collections for my photos but this morning when I tried to open my latest import, it says "Photo is Missing" I can't fine a way to get it back. Luckily I back up most of my files in an external hard disk. What to do?:bang:

Do you remember where you imported to?
You can always re-locate the original file, by telling lightroom where it is. I believe by right clicking the photo/location folder.

This means that the picture is not at the location stored in the catalogue. Unless you deleted the pictures or suffered a hardware failure, it usually is merely a matter of changed or temporarily missing locations.
Besides issues like unmounted external disks and file servers or (in Windows) changed drive letters, I've had it happen when I accidentally browsed the SD card as a image folder rather than importing from it.

I just did my normal workflow, import from SD card, create smart collection, command A then move to the new smart collection folder. I was still able to edit some photos but this morning the "Photo is Missing" message under the histogram appeared. Lst thing I did was delete duplicates in mackeeper.

I have this appearing, but the photos are not missing (check with Show in Finder - mac), and everything works fine. I think it is a bug in LR5, hopefully to be fixed.
Unless of course your photos are missing, then ?.

Sounds like maybe the one mac keeper deleted was the one that te lr5 database was using.
Good luck

That is what I'm afraid of. Will check show in finder first. Only problem here is that all collections have photo is missing now.
