I keep all my files in one folder. As such, each photograph needs a unique file name. What setting do I choose to ensure each photo has a unique number irrespective of whether I have replaced my memory card?

Hi - there is a menu setting for continuous file numbering, but this stopped working consistently after one of the recent firmware updates. Leica has noted the problem and indicated that it will be fixed in a future update. I compensate by having Lightroom pre-pend the date to each file when I upload images. Lightroom is also careful about not over-writing and will append a -1 -2 etc. to the end of file names when there are duplicate names.
