My wife and I are planning a short vacation in Switzerland in late June. We are currently looking to stay in the Lauterbrunnen Valley (Wengen) and on Lake Geneva in Vevey. The idea will be to relax, do plenty of walking/hiking/train riding and, of course, expose plenty of film.

I would appreciate any suggestions or recommendations from this esteemed group that might make our journey more enjoyable and our picture taking more worthwhile.

From what I can tell, however, it is not possible to take a bad photograph of Switzerland. 😀

Actually I have more than one word(as a follow-up to my prior post). I could give a lot of generalizations re my experiences photographing in Switzerland, but it's not good to generalize. But I can say some specific things too. I shot medium-format there. Thus, I was more interested in landscapes without people.

Anyway, I visited two areas where, even in the summer, there were SPECTACULAR snow-covered and glacial photo opportunities: Matterhorn and incredible other nearby mountains (easily accessible from Zermatt) and Aiguille du Midi (aka Mont Blanc), just over the border not far from Geneva.
