I do the podcast-thing, and happened upon one called, Candid Frame. There's only been 4 issues so far, and I've listened to issues 2 & 3 (I dl'd 4 last night). It's a straight interview format wherein the host, Ibarionex R Perello, interviews one photographer for the duration of the podcast, about 30 ~45 minutes. In the past issues he's interviewed, John Issac, Mark Edward Harris, and Daniel Minor. In the current issue, he interviews Vincent Versace. He always ends with a standard set of questions (my favorite part). I like the interviewer, because his sensibilities would fit in right here. (I'll verify the cast's web site, but I think it is thecandidframe.com)

Anyone else doing this? iTunes carries a lot of photography podcasts, too many for me to sift through them all. There are some interesting ones, like 2-Minute PHotoshop Tricks, one put on by Pop. Photographpy & Imaging magazine, one called Nikonian News, so anyone podcasting, and can you recommend one?

TIA

🙂

...I'm looking for a good video 'cast.

Yeah, me too, for the non-driving time. Although, the Lenswork Extended fills the bill nicely for that.

The nice thing about a video podcast is that if it is done right, you can still just listen to the the 'cast, so if The Candid Frame kept their format and emphasis, and augmented the 'cast with the photographer's images, it would still have value for me, because I can still use it during drive time or "isolation" time. 🙂

The video dependent ones are difficult for me to keep up with. I've subscribed to a couple of nonphoto ones, fell behind, and had to unsubscribe.

if you like 'arty' stuff check out '29 Fragile Days' the artist(s) supply these very short video clips (~10-30 seconds), with nice titles. They're often very poetically done (a little pretentious at times).

Ray,
I thought you were talking about _starting_ a photo podcast. 🙂

I listen mostly to lenswork. But my commute isn't a podcast-y type of thing. I can't focus enough while I'm on the bus.

LOL! Oh, no! Not that! I run my own little collection of images on my Video iPod. That's plenty!

I just subscribed and got the latest Lenswork 'cast, so I'll check it out. I'm going to try the 'Tips...' one too.

The lenswork podcast is awesome! I really enjoy it and never miss one. After you get significant amount of them you can cut a CD to enjoy in the car. Good stuff!
