Hello all,
I'm searching for a photo I saw in a book in-store and online, but have lost track of, and I wondered if it might sound familiar to anyone here?
It is in the style of William Eggleston or Fred Herzog, taken in the 1960s, probably on Kodachrome.
It is shot from a second or third story café window, looking down into the street, where a bus is turning and a woman is crossing the street.
Beautifully composed and timed.
On the cafe/diner table are ketchup, salt and pepper, napkins, etc.
Any help much appreciated!
Best wishes to all.
Wally

I can't help, wally, but I'll bump your thread in case someone can.

But you can call me Steve
Try googling "Famous Street Photos" or something of that like. Maybe toss in "with bus".

Sounds like Saul Leiter.
Do you remember anything else about the book or other photos in it?

Thanks so much for all the help everyone.
The Saul Leiter photo above is very familiar to me as are a couple other similar by Fred Herzog.
However, I found it!
It is the front cover photo of Sam Abell's "The Life of a Photograph".
best wishes to all.

Glad you found it! Maybe someday it'll be easier to find photos just by describing it in a search engine.
Great photo! How is the rest of that book? Is that his style or more of a one off photo?
EDIT: maybe it seems it is part of his "just looking" series... though not on the website
