Hands up everyone who knew what a "sphygmomanometer" was *before* looking at the picture! :D

Nice photo. I like the softness, restrained tones, and paper texture very much. I could envision a whole series like this, of different medical instruments.

I honestly thought it was some device that measured some function of that part of the body where the sun don't shine. :eek: Well, I guess it kinda is...

I like the DOF here. Pretty colorless, like many offices.

Is that a mercury sphyg? You can't get them anymore as the mercury is toxic police will come and get you.

I'm pretty sure that the Palo Alto Medical Center is in compliance with whatever the current health regulations have to say... ;-)
