A barbecue gathering last night. A chef applauded for his efforts ...
enjoy, G
Godfrey, truly a captured moment. Great timing - the expressions on the faces are priceless.
A question: what's up with the cropping (aspect ration). And, not to rain on the parade, but in the spirit of exchange of feedback and ideas on RFF: as much as the faces draw the eye, for me the forearm in the foreground (right side of the frame) is distracting.
I love the 35mm focal length, too, but sometimes I am reminded that there is a price to pay for the feeling of being-in-the-middle-of-the-moment which wides can deliver.
Anyway, great shot!

Even before I released the shutter, I visualized the photo from a cinematic 16:9 perspective. So this is a full frame shot cropped top and bottom to fit that format.
At first I thought the forearm on the right a little distracting too. But when I removed it, the photo lost something. And then I began to see it as a part of the overall gesture. The "in close and intimate" perspective distortion works, to my eyes, in this case.

Might experiment with a counter-clockwise custom crop held to the original aspect ratio.

The arms - to me - provide a nice combination of framing and continue the symmetry throughout the photo.

It was a grand little party, definitely too much fun!
The M-P suits me perfectly, and the 'Lux 35 produces magic—as do nearly all of my lenses when put onto the M-P. It's a wonderful camera.

I agree- the embrace frames and captures the sincerity of the moment-well done.
