Photo Village....any one familiar w/

No, but it is a very reputable shop and I would offer the expectation that you will not be disappointed. I have met Mr Pinto and been to Photo Village, very nice experience.

If you are concerned about their grading system I would call and talk to Rich. I bought my first Leica M from him and at the time there were 2 on sale at around the same price. He described each one in great detail and then when I selected one and it arrived it was exactly as described. I've since bought another body from him and varous lenses and other bits & pieces. He does have a good reputation but I've noticed once or twice recently a couple of things have fallen through the cracks. I think he's a pretty successful dealer so he must be doing something right... One or two Leica dealers have gone to the wall this year.

I have bought two lenses from Rich. The "like new demo Summicron asph" arrived with front coating damage. The "mint" 24mm Elmarit arrived with focusing way off. I took the 24mm to a local Leitz Wetzler trained tech and he fixed it for $80 and said that someone had completely disassemble the lens and put it back together wrong.

I have a friend who bought a "mint" 90mm and it arrived with bad cleaning marks.

I had got my Bessa R3a and lenses from there. Went down to the shop in person. Both times I had dealt with the same with the same guy. Not sure of his name, pretty young guy. Anything I purchased was in perfect condition and the service was good.
More personable then going to B&H or Adorama.

Rich is very easy to deal with and took the time to answer all my questions and made shipping to Canada very easy also.

Thanks.....I've ordered a contemporary 75 'lux w/ user cosmetics. Will described the glass as perfect except for a spot of dust which doesn't really concern me. I'm on the edge omy seat waiting for this big baby.
