Has anyone tried any of the photo workshops I see advertised online? I want to try the Greek Island Workshops w/ Glenn Steiner http://www.greekislandphotography.com/
and I'm hoping an RFF member may be able to clue me in on the workshop scene. My thinking is it's good way to travel and do plenty of shooting while I'm at it. Also, suggestions on transporting film though airports? Appreciate your comments.

You might want to check out Toscana Photographic Workshops - http://www.tpw.it

Features classes from well known documentary photographers such as David Alan Harvey, Alexandra Boulat, Stanley Greene, Antonin Kratochvil and Alex Majoli. Also fine art nudes with Andreas Bitesnich, Philippe Pache and Guido Argentini.

I took a class with Bob Sacha (published in National Geographic and others) last year and had a great time.

Going on a Photo Workshop tour is one of my "still to do" goals. I hope to take part in those offered by Arizona Highways magazine. They are about a week long and often go to various protected "heritage sites" that often are not open to the general public throughout the State of Arizona. You can check their website for more info:

As to carrying film - use an x-ray bag - they are rated safe for up to 800 ISO. But be sure to carry it on - the x-rays used for checked luggage are much more powerful and no bag will protect your film.
