Thank you, Dan. I lived in Portugal, years ago, so this caught my attention.
Generally, I'm not a fan of street photography, because content is often prioritized highly over composition, and cluttered backgrounds abound.
In the case of João Cabral, featured in your interview, the photos are very geometric, carefully composed, and clutter successfully excluded. These photos are exceptional and I'm really impressed.
I also liked his characterizations of Lisbon and Porto.

Yes, João is a nice guy, and humble. Porto is a great place for photography. I’m sure João would enjoy hearing from RFF members through his Instagram linked in article. I agree about his geometrical approach and consistency.
