She worked for the same newspaper for 60 years and the retrospective was accompanied by a film and an interview just before she was 90. The interview is fascinating and you can read it here:-

As an ailurophile, I cannot resist drawing everyone's attention to Jane Bown: Cats. A small book of 100 cat portraits, ideally demonstrating that this exceptionally good photographer had the same talented eye for her feline friends as she did for her portraits of people.

Definitely a must have in the libraries of all cat aficionados.
