From time to time I find myself obsessed with certain photographic subjects.

For about 10 years I was following combine harvesters all summer long, trying to catch that atmosphere of summer, of long evenings, dry and dusty, of that mighty machines making their way in the slowly fading light.

Now my obsession is - SUNFLOWERS!!! What is yours?

mine must be big incense vessels, as here in Vietnam in front of Pagodas, hardly ever make it to 'inside' the pagoda then 😉

As for me... I have spent a LOT of time in pioneer (i.e., mid-1800's) cemeteries in this part of Southern Ontario recently. There are a lot of them around, in various stages of disrepair, although mostly still maintained by the township.

I've also been a bit obsessive about using film for these (although I also have plenty of DSLR photos too), and about using multiple different cameras. Most of the below are from the Voigtländer Brillant, but the Yashica Lynx 5000, Argus C3, Taron Promaster, Zeiss Ikon Nettar, and Voigtländer VF-101 have all seen service in these locations too.

I guess I have always been into destination photos, but always strive to make sure that the images are representative of the locale. I try to avoid self-described destination photos that look like they could have been taken down the street, but I am not always successful.
