Hopefully nothing will stop me from going this time. :(
 
I keep meaning to make it... For 2013 I'll remember the date, at least, as it's Lhasa Uprising Day. But I'll probably be in Scotland, after Focus on Imaging in Birmingham (March 3rd-6th). Is it twice a year, or what?

Had a nice one last month and (again) picked up some stuff that will likely cover my expenses once sold.

Next time I might go real early (have to be a member to get in ahead of the rest of the crowd), spend time rummaging through boxes first and then the remainder of the day photographing the salesmen and visitors in the hall. Sort of a one-day portrait/project of the Fair.

After that I think I've seen enough Fairs to last me a while.

Still, I can recommend it to anyone who never went to one before!

should you need a 'guide' to get you to the doorstep of the venue, just let me know, I'd be happy to change my plans to help you out!

I've never been to a photography fair before. Might visit this one! It'll be fun I guess!
 
Less then two weeks to go. Is everybody psyched up to go? :)

Looks like one of my Belgian buddies is coming along to check it out.
I don't really need anything. But hope to run into a few familiar faces from RFF and the Analog Foto Forum.

Not needing anything particular but you never know what treasures might be hidden in one of those boxes :D
 
Hm,

That wasn't on my calendar yet. If I'm not scheduled to chaperone Roger, I might actually pass!:D

Although, apparently spring weather is around the corner in Holland, so it might be a nice day ahead...

We'll see.

Anyone who got some nice stuff, how 'bout pokin' out our eyes with some nice pictures of it?:D
 
Picked up a post-war edition of "Leica In Aller Welt" compiled by K.P. Karfeld.
And bought an aluminum Leica film canister and got a FILCA and IXMOO for free.
 
Got this beaten-up Semi Lyra II folder in a 3 Euro box :

Also a lot of boxes with camera spareparts and a Rolleifix for € 5,--

you will no doubt restore this lovely camera back to the condition it was in, back in the days when it was somebodies prized possession!

@Rick: Aluminium film canisters, I could still use a few of those... :rolleyes:

Well, i have my doubts about this one Johan ! Might be not salvageable.
But as its an Ikonta clone i have now some period spareparts for little money ;)
