I shot some mushrooms a few years ago using a Sunpak Auto 16R ringflash, Minolta 35-70mm zoom, and Minolta X-500. The nice thing about this setup is TTL flash metering using the appropriate Sunpak adapter. This was my first try shooting mushrooms, but was happy with the results.
