the gathering storm ... waiting for hurricane earl

when we walked south along the sand in Normandy Beach, NJ this afternoon, this is what we saw. ten minutes later, when walking back north, the water had reached to within inches of the feet of this dedicated beach-goer.

the group in the mid-ground was an NYC-based video crew from the local CBS affiliate.
