Photographing the Photographer... post yours

22 US photographers shooting 3 Cuban cowboys on horseback. Actually, there were 4 cowboys but one had a ball cap, not a cowboy hat, so was asked to step out of the frame. Our tour leader saw these cowboys so stopped our bus and had a Cuban guide round them up to pose for the photo. It seemed everyone else in our group was happy to stand shoulder to shoulder, normally with a 70-210 zoom while I who shot everything with a 21mm or 28mm so had to devise my own framing to be polite.

This was 2009. None of these 22 photographers ever returned to Cuba. I never went out with other photographers in the 15 years since. That includes around 75 later trips to Cuba. including 7 solo photo exhibits there.

The selection of some photographs from the archive for publication was inspired by reading this topic)))

For good photographs I always need a travel companion, interlocutor, comrade.
so there are simply two conditions for photography - a film camera and a friend.

By the way, this girl probably still has photos of me somewhere with a bulging eye, with which I gave her recommendations on how to open her eye and look at me at the same time)))
My eye there is probably three times larger than hers!))))

when I translated it back and forth twice with Google, it turned out to be abracadabra - Let me clarify - the first picture is the process, the second is the result.
