Hi everyone,
I'm thinking of doing an one-year photography/fine arts program in london to improve my self-taught knowledge. Any recommendations for schools/courses in London UK? I look through the Royal Academy of Arts program and UAL's MA in Photography. Anyone with experience from UK can help?
On another side, i think if i just travel with the same money and keep clicking may be I'll get better even faster, nothing beats practice right :)

Certes, I'd back a mix of shooting, travel and a determined attempt to meet people -- other photographers, galleries, buyers, editors -- over a formal course. But you DO need to be in places where people meet: big cities, and festivals such as (above all) Arles.

Cheers,

R.

A good school also supports students with presenting their work in a formal setting and make connections with others. And london is such a big city that i think might be worth it. I would love to get recommendations on more hands on courses than just reading/discussing which I can do on my own.

You'll find some short courses in certain colleges maybe 3 months, but they will only be a very few hours a week. If you wanna go for 1 year then you'll be looking at a Masters program of some sort, which not only is priced sky high, but you'll also need a BA to enter...
