Photography gear that is giving you gas at this very moment

Black as well for my (Soverized) F2a I’ve had since 1979…
'Soverized', what every F2-connoisseur wants for their camera. I once made it through his waiting list, but when my time came up I was a student with little money and Brexit had just hit, so I passed. Still a little sad about that, I rarely use my F2AS these days because it back focuses due to an off mirror angle.

Pentax LX and its wonderful viewfinders FB-1, FC-1, FD-1,... And don't forget about the screens.

I already own many Pentax-M prime lenses.

It was quite hard to find a LX in working condition for a reasonable price.

I had those finders when my LX bodies were my 35 mm system. The waist level finder saved my back when I used to do a lot of copy work for artists on a copy stand. I had 4 LX bodies, used them heavily and only had one repair--a frame counter that would stop counting. Still have 2 for sentimental reasons, both still work.

"Love that in Germany it was known as the 'Tapeten (wallpaper) Rollei,'" so „Ausrüstungs-Anschaffungs-Syndrom“ in the mother tongue.

At present I’m hankering for an original Canon F-1. My local repair fellow has a number of ‘parts’ F-1s sitting on the floor of his home-based shop, one of which is an original F-1. No prism and the film advance lever is sticky, but the speeds all sound okay and cosmetically it’s not too bad (I’m not sure, however, if he already took any parts from this ‘parts’ body, so I’d have to see about that). He’s considering what he’d charge me for the body to be revived and I’d need to find a prism. Fortunately I have a few FD lenses sono worries there. Of course maybe I should just put my AE-1 to more use then I wouldn’t need the F-1 at all, but where’s the fun in that?
