photography is like golf

Golf is not an art.

Oh I can't agree there. Golf is as much art as gymnastics, perhaps more so actually. Gymnastics is a sport dominated by strength and speed of the large muscles with grace added in for aesthetics. Golf is a sport dominated by subtlety and smoothness, the perfect artistic expression of what the human body can achieve when working in unison. It is an art in which you can see each of the master's strokes as well as the finished painting.

Now, me, I have a 19 handicap, so I am not talking about myself. I suck as a photographer too, so yes, golf and photography have a lot in common to me.

I've attempted golf numerous times, but I have a slice that completely
defies the laws of physics. They should bring Stephen Hawking out to
see me hit a golf ball, might be the first time he wouldn't have an explanation
for something. I am much less likely to hurt someone or damge something
using a camera.
