We have a Photography pun thread. Thought we could take a different direction here. I'll start with this little ditty:

Photographic Steppenwolf

Some take such aversion to a silver halide dispersion
Throwing a fit and proclaiming digital capture is it;
It's a throw back to the past they cry aghast
While adding clouds and clowns to there images around town;

The film user decries the deceit and the lies
While creating latent images later to be revealed;
Rewinding a roll or pulling out a film holder
They relish the image that chemistry will unveil;
They just don't understand, the process is the game
The image leads to ultimate visual fame;

With digital in one hand and film camera in the other
Modern photographer struggles with a collision of thought;
The past or the future, analog or digital,
electronic or photochemical, the struggle proceeds

How about the art without thought to the means of the capture?
Leaving modern photographer in a technological rapture!

Saturated Colours

What saturated colours bring
To any subject you may cite
Is vividness, portrayed in light.

Whenever lively bronze bells ring,
Deep notes roll out and resonate...
Deep colours, too, reverberate.

A cloudy day, far from a curse,
Provides diffusion that's ideal
For colours with profound appeal.

Bright light is almost always worse
If saturation is your aim;
It harshly treats all things the same.

Diffused light is the cream of cream
When colour is your major theme.
If contrast is what you desire,
Then find yourself a blinding fire.

Whatever I think when it’s in the sink

The lens is a friend of mine
The glass is clean and the chrome,

We’ll see what was in my mind

I’m out here on my own
Few friends understand me,
Nor do they know
What makes me do this creative thing
I’m just a one man show

So whether I like it or I don’t
It’s all beside the point
With the camera in hand, I’m,
Just a man
