Does any member(s) live around Cologne, Germany? Anyone planning to attend the big exhibit? I was wondering if there are other Rangefinder stuff being introduced, other than the Leica M8 and the Zeiss Ikon SW that is.

I am sure that Leica will introduce at least one new lens with the M8 as well (one of the reps told me a few months ago that it would be a wide tri-elmar, but who knows). Cosina will probably have something up their sleeves as well. Remember, this is Photokina! It only happens every other year and no one wants to be left out. Particularly not the German companies, as it is happening in their backyard.

Opening date is Sept. 26 -- still plenty of time to schedule a nice fall trip to Cologne! (Go early and you can also catch the Cologne Mussel Festival, in which "more than 40 different exhibitors including such famous names as the Renaissance Köln Hotel, the Maritim Hotel in Cologne and the „Kap am Südkai“ restaurant... serve culinary dishes based around mussels and seafood.")
